How to Download Photos from the Famly App

Famly only lets you save photos one at a time. Here's how to get every photo and video from the Famly app onto your computer in one click.

The Famly app is how a lot of nurseries share the good stuff, snack-time chaos, garden adventures, the occasional heroic nap. Getting the updates is a joy. Keeping them is the fiddly bit, because Famly only lets you save photos one at a time.

There's no "save everything" button for parents inside the app. So a year of photos means a lot of tapping, unless you use a tool that does the whole lot in one go.

The one-click way

NurseryDownloader is a Chrome extension that saves every photo and video from Famly at full quality, in a single click.

Step 1: Install the extension

On a laptop or desktop (it doesn't run on phones or tablets), open Chrome or Edge and add NurseryDownloader from the Chrome Web Store.

Step 2: Sign in to Famly

Go to app.famly.co and sign in with your parent account (the same login also covers famly.de and the Bright Horizons FamilyApp). Open your child's feed.

Step 3: Download

Click Download all photos and videos in the panel. Everything saves at full quality, sorted into a folder for each child, then month-by-month sub-folders, including the older posts, not just the recent ones.

What you can rely on

  • Full-quality originals, not lossy screenshots.
  • Photos and videos, filed by date.
  • Nothing leaves your computer, it all runs locally in your browser.
  • 20 free downloads to try before you buy, no card needed.

Before your child moves on

When a child leaves nursery, Famly access is usually switched off soon after, and the photos go with it. If that's on the horizon, save everything now while you can still log in.
